These are some other products I’d like to recommend to fellow parents. They are items I’ve personally used (or newer versions of them) that have made a positive impact in my life. I really enjoy using them, and I hope they can be helpful for you too if you’re looking for similar products and would like some recommendations or reviews.



Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H40
I really love this Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H40. It also comes with a simple mop feature (where you need to refill the water and wash the mop pad yourself), but I don’t use that part. What I truly appreciate is the vacuum function. It has a large 4L dust bag, and the robot automatically empties all dust collected into it after cleaning. This means I don’t have to clear the dust after every cleaning session, just change the bag every few months. I can also set it to avoid certain areas, like where my 3D printer sits on the floor or the rug outside the toilet. Honestly, I have no complaints at all! It has really changed my life for the better.



Xiaomi Hot Water Dispenser 3L / 5L
I bought the 5L version for my family of three, and it has been serving us really well! It works like an electric kettle by boiling the water first, then cooling it to the set temperature and maintaining it there. Every night, I empty and refill it with fresh water (I don’t reboil boiled water), set the temperature to 40°C, and by morning we have perfectly warm water ready for the whole day. I also love that it connects to the Xiaomi app, which notifies me when the water is boiled. The wide opening makes it easy to pour in water. Previously, when I used an electric kettle, I had to boil three separate batches every night. Now, I just fill it up, press boil, and it’s done.



Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3S
My Xiaomi Smart Doorbell is an earlier version (Doorbell 3), and it has been working very well for me. The battery lasts about two months, and both the video and night mode are clear. I really appreciate having an electronic doorbell as it lets me know who comes to the door or what time the delivery man arrived. I can even monitor the outside of my house when I’m overseas, which gives me great peace of mind. This is my third electric doorbell (previous 2 were from other brands), and I feel Xiaomi is much better!



IMILAB C22 3K WiFi Home Security Camera
I originally bought this WiFi Home Security Camera as a “pet cam” to monitor my hamster, but I quickly realised how useful it was beyond that. It allowed me to keep an eye on both my hamster and the house when I wasn’t home, and even check in on my family when I was quarantined during COVID. It’s definitely a nice-to-have at home for that extra peace of mind.


Wet Brush Original Hair Detangler
I bought this hairbrush out of frustration with my daughter’s constantly tangled hair. At first, I wondered how different it could be since most hairbrushes look the same, but I decided to try it after seeing the good reviews. To my surprise, it really works! Brushing is so much easier, and it untangles knots far more smoothly than a normal hairbrush!



Foldable Trolley
It’s a really good trolley! It’s lightweight and foldable, which makes it easy to carry around in a bag without taking up much space. Despite being compact, it’s sturdy enough to help carry heavy items, saving a lot of effort and strain. Super handy for groceries, books, or anything bulky that would otherwise be tiring to lug around (for example, buying textbooks in December). 



I bought this recently and fell in love with it, so much so that I purchased another one soon after trying the first. I got the version that dispenses liquid soap and even shows the battery level. It also comes with options to adjust how much soap you want it to dispense, which makes it really convenient and efficient. Now I have two, one for dishwashing detergent, one for hand soap.



PHILIPS Azur Steam Iron 8000 series
This iron is amazing! I no longer have to worry about setting the right temperature or accidentally burning clothes. It automatically adjusts without needing any temperature settings, and it removes creases very effectively. I'm not good at ironing but this Azur Steam Iron really helps me a lot!



Dyson Airstrait straightener
I was born with curly, frizzy hair and had been doing rebonding for decades. About a year ago, I gave up on it because I was tired of spending at least six hours in the salon every six months (my hair is very stubborn!), and spending hundreds of dollars just to keep my hair straight for half a year. I cut my hair really short, but it was still unruly, and I felt quite sad about it. Then I decided to treat myself to the Dyson Airstrait, and it has really helped make my hair straighter and neater. Of course, it’s not as perfect as rebonding, but my hair is now so much more manageable! I’m really glad I bought it.

Sterra Paws™ True HEPA-14 Pet Air Purifier
I bought this when we got guinea pigs, since they really do smell, and because we use the aircon a lot, I felt it was important to have an air purifier to maintain air quality. It really does help! Also, when I first used the iron I mentioned earlier, it gave off a new-product smell (which is normal for irons). The purifier actually detected the change in air quality, and within a short while, the readings improved after the purifier did its job.


Singgate Digital Lock
I’m using the older version FR056 (no longer selling), and it has been life-changing! I have a bad memory and often forget to bring things when heading out, only realising it after I’ve already locked the door. Sometimes I had to lock and unlock up to three times before I could finally leave the house. It was so frustrating. With face recognition digital lock, I don’t need to do anything; the door unlocks automatically for me. I’m super pleased with this purchase as it has saved me from so much hassle, and best of all, I never have to worry about forgetting my keys again! The new version seems even better!


Bebird R1+ Ear Wax Removal Cleaner with 3.5mm Ear Camera
This is such a useful little gadget! Something that used to be impossible (seeing inside your own ear) is now made possible with this ear wax cleaner with a built-in camera. Cleaning ears is no longer done blindly; you can actually do it properly and safely on your own. 


Mini Electric Screwdriver Set
I often buy furniture from Taobao, but they always come unassembled. Using a regular screwdriver was so tiring, especially with so many screws! I had been wanting to buy an electric screwdriver for the longest time but kept procrastinating. When I finally got one and started using it, I wondered why I didn’t buy it sooner since it’s so affordable. Assembling furniture no longer feels daunting, and with this Electric Screwdriver, I can also be sure the screws are fastened tightly.
